Description
The new course designed by Dave Thomas and opened in June 2007 offers a variety of natural landscapes.
Designed as a heathland type course, its layout is divided into three different areas:
1) the plateau area (holes 1 to 5 & 17th & 18th) where the course has the feel of a
heathland course with wide fairways and outstanding views of the Mediterranean sea & the local mountain ranges, including Sierra Nevada,
2) the river valley where the holes meander along the valley and incorporate various water features/hazards, and
3) the last area that provides more movement to the course.
The course does not return to the clubhouse until the 18th green which is located right by it. The difficulty on the course mainly concerns the prevailing winds in the area.
