Description
The Links course was designed by Peter Allis and Clive Clark. The topography of the terrain in Alcaidesa consists of rolling hillsides sloping gently to the sea and ending in a stunningly beautiful beach. It has almost 2 km of beachfront.
A considerable number of its holes borders the beach and runs between sand dunes only partially covered by vegetation.
The course does not return to the clubhouse until the 18th green which is located right by it. The difficulty on the course mainly concerns the prevailing winds in the area.
One of the most memorable aspects that impresses the visitor are the spectacular views of the Mediterranean, the Straits of Gibraltar and North Africa and the unobstructed views of
the sea from virtually any location on the course.
Because the course is a links course, the winds in the area substantially influence play. There are currently 5 par threes, two of which have water features in front, 8 par fours and 5 par fives, of which one has a water feature just in front of the green.
