Designed by Gary Player to offer a challenge to golfers at all levels, this course tempts with wide fairways – but punishes those who stray into the bordering heavy rough.
The setting is incomparable! Meandering streams flow through and cross lush fairways flanked by palm trees, oleander, jacaranda and mimosa. Lakes provide a home to many types of water birds – as well as a fair few golf balls.
Everywhere you look the views are magnificent; from many holes you can see the blue of the Mediterranean and there is always the backdrop of those dramatic mountains. Gary Player used these natural resources brilliantly, to create one of the best designed courses on the Costa del Sol.
Since the members purchased the club in 1996, it has gone from strength to strength. Thousands of euros have been invested in improvements, including a new irrigation system for the rough and fairways, reseeding the first nine holes with Bermuda grasses, reconstructing all the greenside bunkers and re-designing and shaping several tees.
The club is run in traditional British style, with a friendly, cordial atmosphere.
