Description
This is the second of two championship courses at
San Roque designed by the
American Perry Dye.
This course is a challenge for scratch and low handicap golfers
but at the same time enjoyable for higher handicap players to play. Each hole has five different tees and wider fairways than the Old Course.
Nevertheless, these fairways are designed to reward thoughtful tactics and clever drive placement. Water hazards guard four of the greens, also defended by more than a hundred strategic bunkers, which lie in wait for wayward or overambitious drivers.
The course plays 6626 metres off the championship tees.
Maximum handicap allowed: Men 28 Ladies 36
